Year In Review: Here Are The Top 100 Most Searched-For Gay Porn Stars Of 2016

Who was the most popular gay porn star of 2016? It’s time to find out!

The last time I checked these stats in June, Alex Mecum was ranked #1. Was he able to hold onto the top spot and be named the most popular gay porn star of 2016? As always, this list is based on internal WordPress and Google Analytics stats showing which gay porn star names generated the most page views referred from search engines. The higher a name appears on the list, the more people are searching for him online.

Some fun facts: As always, several retired and/or jailed gay porn stars who are convicted felons have made the list. In fact, three of the top ten stars have long since retired. Also, because so many of them ranked so high, I’m now including people who aren’t gay porn stars (but who have appeared in porn videos or made cameos in gay porn scenes) for the first time ever. And finally, in both 2014 and 2015, gay porn star Johnny Rapid ranked #1 on this list. For 2016, I’m sorry to report that Johnny Rapid is no longer #1. In fact, his popularity has been dying a slow death all year, and he no longer even ranks among the top forty most searched-for gay porn stars. Sad.

So, for the first time in three years, there’s a brand new #1 gay porn star. Congratulations to him, and congratulations to all of the Top 100 Most Searched-For Gay Porn Stars Of 2016!
