Both studios have featured muscular white guys in their early 20’s having bareback sex, and both studios have always been independently owned and operated by gay men. Earlier this year, that last part changed when Sean Cody was acquired by straight porn conglomerate MindGeek, and now Corbin Fisher is using news of the sale to try and win back former customers.

Corbin Fisher’s models might be mostly straight, but whoever is writing their marketing emails is a fierce queen with a knack for throwing major shade. Here’s the full email Corbin Fisher sent to try and win back former customers, which uses the Sean Cody (without mentioning them by name, of course) sale to make themselves sound better:

Dear CF Fan and Friend,

It’s quite amazing just how many big changes have happened not only at CF, but in our industry as a whole since we first launched Corbin Fisher.

One thing we certainly could not have imagined, when we started Corbin Fisher 11 years ago, is that we’d find ourselves being the sole remaining independent, gay-owned, and gay-operated site focused on American college men.

Nonetheless, as friends in the industry have come and gone; as competitors and colleagues have been bought-out and consolidated with one another, or incorporated their brands and businesses in to the portfolio of properties owned by many of the largest [primarily straight] companies in the industry, that is precisely where we find ourselves.

We’re happy for our friends who’ve moved on to different pursuits, and wish them all the best. Being completely honest with all of you, we’ve also had opportunities – presented in quite tempting fashion – to follow the same route.

As odd as it might seem, though, the prospect of financial rewards did not bring about the creation of Corbin Fisher, nor has it been our driving force in all these years since. At CF, we really do have a passion for bringing you stunningly hot guys, in high-quality videos and photos, and as part of an enjoyable user experience. After all, with all the ups and downs over these many years, an honest and true desire to be doing what we’re doing and sharing all of it with you, as well as our getting very real pleasure out of this, is essential to making it all worthwhile.

We know you’ve checked us out in the past, and would love it if you chose to do so again to keep experiencing this excitement with us. While your options for content like ours – produced and delivered by an independent, gay-owned and gay-operated site – become more limited each day, we’d be thrilled if you allowed us to share with you the passion and dedication we have for providing you with hot guys doing hot things with one another. Our commitment to providing you with the best user experience has brought with it many exciting updates and changes to the site, and we’re certain you’ll enjoy those; our tastes and interests being the same as yours means our guys, and what they do on camera, should appeal to you in a unique and personal way.

We’d like to extend to you the opportunity to come back to CF at a special price of $20.15 (or upgrade to a full CF subscription, if you’re already an ACM or ACS member) per month*, check us out, and see all that’s new at CF today. We’re quite convinced you’ll want to stick around, just as we have for over 11 years! In fact, we promise to do all we can to make you want to!

Sincerely,
The Corbin Fisher Team

While Corbin Fisher wins at throwing the most shade in a single email to customers, they lose at being 100% factual. Sean Cody might have been sold to a straight porn conglomerate, but there are still plenty of independently owned gay porn studios in America, including ChaosMen, CockyBoys, Helix Studios, GuysInSweatpants, and Randy Blue. And Corbin Fisher’s line about focusing on “college men” is even funnier when you consider their two most popular performers—Dawson and Connor—are both pushing 30. They’re still in college?
