Brent Corrigan Returning To Gay Porn: “My Hiatus Has Come To An End”

Posted February 14, 2014 by with 31 comments

After an almost four-year hiatus, Brent Corrigan is ready to be a gay porn star again. Not sure why he went into someone’s backyard to film his comeback video, but OK!

Throughout his mainstream career, Brent never said he was leaving the adult industry completely (his response when asked was always something like “never say never”), so no one can really call him out for any contradictory statements. It sounds like he’s going to do live shows with Chaturbate (he mentions a site, “Real Boys,” which is powered by the popular cam platform), but I still wish he’d do something more creative, i.e., a collaboration with CockyBoys or Helix?

Either way, welcome back, Brent! Please cause some drama with someone (Michael Lucas?) so I have something fun to write about.

What do you guys think?

Haven’t really been into him since his early videos. He got a little too “I am such a big star” for me.

I’m a closet Brent Corrigan Fan. But it’s never been about his porn. His porn has never done anything at all for me and I suspect it never will.

But that night long-ago in WEHO when Michael Lucass arrogantly stormed the stage when Brent was about to receive an award for his body of work kind of changed all of that for me. I didn’t suddenly like his porn scenes – but I liked where the kid was attempting to go with his life.

To be Sure, Corrigan made a bad mistake when he was 17. A stupid and maybe even selfish, calculated and reckless mistake which could have put people in serious legal trouble. He was also being exploited by a creepy pedophile for financial interests too. So there’s that for balance.

But when Michael Lucas stormed the stage that night I began looking at Corrigan a bit differently. He was a kid back then. Yes, he should have known better and he could have known better, but he didn’t. But he spent every minute afterward attempting to learn from that mistake. He owned his past, he apologized for it and he never once blamed it upon someone else for happening to my knowledge.

Everyone makes stupid mistakes when they are teenagers and it’s how you grow from those mistakes and handle yourself going forward that really matters. To deny a young mans moment in the spotlight after an industry in which he works had voted him an award for his body of work spoke more to me about hate and personal vengeance than anything I had seen in quite some time.

That’s the night I started rooting for Brent Corrigan. Not because I whacked off to his porn – because I hadn’t and I don’t. But because when people attempt to suffocate, isolate and destroy those who made a mistake(s) many years earlier when they were young and deny them an opportunity to rise above their mistakes – it dooms us as a society and more importantly an LGBT community of already isolated and denied individuals.

I’m not sure where Corrigan announced his return to gay porn. yes, he’s done a Cam4 show a few weeks ago and earlier this week a show on Real Boys – but this to me isn’t a return to gay porn – it’s more like a stop at a gas station to fill up on tokens to cash in and to continue one’s personal journey.

    I wish Brent Corrigan well.

He announced it in the video embedded above, although it seems rather nebulous at this point. He’s trying to scrape the money together for a new site, or something.

      • WillG

And just a small correction to your very good post — the Michael Lucas brouhaha happened at the GayVN Awards in San Francisco, not WeHo.

        • JoshChicago

          thnx.

      • JoshChicago

LOL! I completely and totally overlooked that big, in your face red play button on that big, in your face video player! I thought it was a photo image when I looked at it this morning. I hope it’s not porn paralysis developing to me.

I always thought you liked the film style of Brian Kocis…

“He owned his past”: I always got the feeling when I read Corrigan’s early blog posts that he blamed Kocis much more than himself. It might be that Kocis was a creepy pedophile but another model that worked for Cobra had nothing bad to say about Kocis. This model wrote this on the JUB forum a few years after Kocis was murdered. (I’m too lazy to search for that post but maybe someone has a link, I believe that JUB post was not fake).

Your obsession with Michael Lucas is getting somewhat unhealthy (!). So you didn’t care much for Corrigan until Lucas criticized him on stage …. sad.

      • JoshChicago

You’re pulling dead rabbits out of your ass suggesting I like(d) the film style of Brian Kocis. What were you trying to accomplish with such a false and unfounded comment?

Since you’re too “lazy” to provide support for your hearsay comment about another model who worked for Kocis – why even post it?

There’s nothing unhealthy about recognizing what a repulsive creature Michael Lucas really is as a human being and expressing it to others. I’m sure more would be doing it, but don’t, out of fear of financial retaliation or some other form of aggressive vengeance.

        • Dutch Courage

I wish I could pull dead rabbits out of my ass! Sometimes I think you live in Jirmeny and like photoshopping ….

I had to go to work this morning so ‘lazy’ was the wrong word. I thought maybe you knew about that JUB post. If I have time I will try to find that JUB reference tomorrow.

Most people know what a repulsive person Lucas is. I’ve written very negative comments about him. Why keep mentioning him so often? Its not like his studio is a huge succes. Maybe turn your attention to Corbin Fisher, Sean Cody, George Duroy etc. etc. etc. etc.etc. etc.?

          • Dutch Courage

Found the link. It was not on the JUB forum but a letter from the model Cameron Lane to porn blogger Jason Sechrest (Jason Curious).

            http://jasonnewsdesk.blogspot.nl/2007/01/former-cobra-model-on-kocis-one-of-most.html

And for commenters information: Cameron Lane was on good terms with Corrigan when he wrote that letter and even performed in the movie Just the Sex 2 released by Corrigan’s own sex label Dirty Bird.

  • OneOfTheManyChris

I think he needs money for his other projects. He’s obviously pretty ambiguous about his time in porn.

Anyhow, I hope he does another DP, and I hope one of the other cocks is named Brent. The world needs that to be legal.

    • Merconn

I think Brent simply needs money to pay for ordinary things, like food, rent and a car. In a recent cam show from his apartment (not a house with a yard, but an ordinary apartment), he said he doesn’t have a car, that he walks.

It’s very unlikely that he ever put ANY of his own money–what little he ever had–into ANY project. Most likely, the money came from investors who pocketed most of the profits–if any.

When he says, “We’re introducing a new entity online”, he means his penniless self and the people who are bankrolling the enterprise.

He is looking mighty fine with his more mature look. Better than ever. Good luck, Brent.

I still think one day a gay porn star will break through into mainstream. In fact the guy who plays CJ (the sex worker) on Looking is damn near identical to Colby Keller, so why not just cast him? I’m sure Colby could play a sex worker convincingly. My point: porn stars (and everyone) continue to reach for your dreams and goals.

    • sxg

break through mainstream acting, or mainstream in general?

I’d say in general there are a couple who have, but Brent Corrigan is far from one of them.

      • DeanD

Either, really. But I’m curious on who you think has already made that transition?

        • sxg

As far as acting? None. Unless you count Simon Rex, but he only did a handful of jackoff scenes, so not really that gay of porn.

But overall mainstream, I’d say Francois Sagat is close to that if not there. He models professionally for photoshoots and sometimes runway modeling and he’s done a bit of acting that was recognized like LA Zombie. He also briefly appeared in Saw 6 (or 7). He said he actually had a slightly bigger part, but at the end it was cut out of the final version of the film.

          • OneOfTheManyChris

Corrigan’s done far more than that. His “it was a big part but got cut” role was in Milk, not one of the lesser Saw flicks. He’s also had major roles in some genre films and even worked with people you may actually have heard of. It’s not exactly A-list, and qualitatively it’s similar to Sagat, but quantitatively it’s about ten times as much non-porn (I won’t say mainstream) stuff.

          • sxg

Meh. Brent could have done a million times more things than Francois, the difference is that Brent I don’t think Brent was all that good at what he’s been doing outside of porn because he has never succeeded from detaching himself from the gay porn industry/community and like herpes he never went away. Francois at least is having success in whatever he has been doing outside of porn.

    • Merconn

Not sure what you consider to be breaking through into mainstream. A few pornsters, including Brent Corrigan, have had small roles in mainstream film and/or TV. Dylan Vox is another example that comes to mind. Another pornster had a small role (no lines) in a party scene of an episode of the current HBO series “Looking”. 90’s pornster Rex Chandler had a speaking role in a movie I saw on the Sci-Fi channel.

  • Dean

A bareback porn star returning to porn but with condoms. Ooooh how exciting it will be.

  • sxg

I could do without this queen. His scenes were just ok to me, and usually the only reason I liked the ones I did is because of his scene partner. The thing I loved most about his scene with Erik is it was this big behemoth of a man getting fucked by this twinkish thing. The contrast was hot, but Brent Corrigan was not.

  • JoePorn

Well he is sexy, but honestly who can afford him these days and is big enough for his persona??? Porn for just anybody would be stupid.

    • sxg

I highly doubt that anyone will pay him a significant amount more than the rest of the porn stars. Maybe a few hundred dollars more, but that’s it. I think that RB and SC models would still end up getting paid more than they are.

  • Todd

When you watch the announcement video and he gets to the ‘I’m really excited…’ part ……….THAT’S when I thought, “Ehhhh, he really isn’t a very good actor”

  • Ramone

Hopefully the wart on his cock is gone too .. whether self removed or otherwise …

  • Viva La Bambi

I’m OK with him coming back. Girl, we know you got bills to pay, and those weird French underwear commercials aren’t going to pay them. He’s hotter now then when he left, and there is a whole new cast of talent I’d like to see him slut it up with, but I agree with Zach that Cockyboys would’ve been a nice synergy.

    • Dutch Courage

Zach also mentioned Helix but apparently forgot that this studio also produces bb scenes.

  • Terry

Is he working with Grant Roy again ? ! I’m pretty sure that’s his house.

  • AmanYoudontknow

Why he looks so average looking now and boring (still good looking but not deliciously hot like he was)? He is like Leonardo Di caprio of Gay porn , younger was better.

  • All this for a damn flag?

He looks like zhhht like a burnt out twink probably diseased and his butt probably leaks now. Nobody wants an old twink. It’s all downhill from here.

  • Eboy1912

cant wait for your latest porn scene,,, i still have ur porn while back ago… ahaha kinda small body… but now…
