Here’s a short film, Chaser, from Sal Bardo about a high school teacher who spends his weekends letting strangers dump loads of cum in him. Because, as one character says, “condoms are rude.” Guess we can add this to the canon of condom-shaming messages we’ve seen over the past year. Granted, the film isn’t necessarily endorsing bareback sex parties, but instead depicts the event as a sort of “slice of life” vignette with no consequences. Taken on its own as a piece of art, the film is well shot and authentic, and I don’t doubt that the writer/director is familiar with the subject matter in real life. And what it’s reflective of will hopefully start a dialogue for those who see it: Is this what the crazy young gays are doing now? Why are condoms rude? What’s so rebellious about “chasing” a deadly virus?
