7.5 Earthquake Strikes Japan, Tsunami Warnings Issued

Well, this feels like an appropriate way to start 2024, which I predict will be even worse than 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 combined. Report above via CNN shortly after the quake hit Japan, and live updates are being posted here. The damage looks to have been bad, but this hopefully won’t be anything like the Tōhoku quake and tsunami in 2011 that led to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear meltdown.
