Missouri Senator Josh Hawley—who attempted to overthrow the election of Joe Biden while showing support for the deadly insurrection on January 6th—spoke at the National Conservatism Conference in Orlando, Florida (of course) last weekend, and because it’s the one thing that always gets conservatives’ attention (while giving them all secret boners), Hawley made sure to mention pornography in his speech:

That part of the speech must’ve been doubly delightful for right wing freaks, as Hawley was blaming liberals for something and invoking pornography (even the way he said the word with his deep voice kind of turned me on, and I’m not conservative), and he was even able to throw in the classic “video games” boogeyman. It’s like the 1990’s all over again. Of course, men have been watching porn long before their so-called “manhood” was under attack, and it’s always the most vocal critics of porn who are in fact the most loyal viewers of porn. Also, you have to love Hawley’s utopian vision of America in which men would no longer fall into an “enclave” of watching porn if people would just stop criticizing their masculinity. OK, say that’s true. So, if porn didn’t exist, what would these carnival barkers use to keep their delusional fans so scared and so angry (and so horny)?

Hawley delivered the speech on the “future of the American man” at the National Conservatism Conference in Orlando, calling for a return to traditional gender roles. He said liberals’ “attempt to give us a world beyond men” was part of their larger effort to “deconstruct America,” an endeavor that, according to the senator, includes critical race theory, economic socialism and doing away with the concept of gender altogether.

“The Left want to define traditional masculinity as toxic. They want to define the traditional masculine virtues – things like courage and independence and assertiveness – as a danger to society,” Hawley said.

Hawley called for conservatives to fight the “attack on men” and push for “a revival of strong and healthy manhood in America.”

Ironically, some of the strongest and healthiest men with the most robust manhood in America can be seen…in porn. Josh Hawley and his followers should continue watching more of it for inspiration.
