Federal Judge Temporarily Blocks Tennessee’s Anti-Drag Law
The anti-drag law was supposed to go into effect tonight at midnight (April 1st), but now it’s on hold for two weeks thanks to a federal judge. A status conference will be held next week to schedule future hearings, but if this keeps getting appealed, I wonder if it could end up at the Supreme Court? More details on the lawsuit and an explanation as to why the judge—who, interestingly, is a 2017 Trump appointee—issued the restraining order is here at LawDork.
