New Orleans Priest Sentenced To Just 5 Years In Prison For Raping Children

The Catholic Church—the most evil, destructive, and demonic cult in the history of the world—will be losing one of their members to prison after “Father” Patrick Wattigny pleaded guilty to raping two children. The victims (who are now adults) had asked for at least 10 years in prison, but the Catholic rapist received a slap on the wrist and was sentenced to just five years. He could’ve (and should’ve) received up to 40 years, but the worthless judge gave him the least amount of years possible under state sentencing guidelines. Father Patrick Wattigny, 55, the former pastor of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church and chaplain at Pope John Paul II High School, both in Slidell, Louisiana, was sentenced to five years in prison with five years of probation. He was also required to register as a sex offender.
The Archdiocese of New Orleans, where Wattigny was a priest, announced his removal from ministry Oct. 1, 2020.
The priest was originally arrested and charged in 2020 when a victim reported that Wattigny molested him when he was 15 years old in 2013. Another victim came forward in the fall of 2022 and claimed that Wattigny molested him when he was a 9-year-old student.
The victim said that after Wattigny molested him, the priest told him that he would “go to hell” if he told anyone about the abuse, the statement said.

Accusations that Wattigny had molested yet another child surfaced last year. That victim spoke publicly for the first time on Wednesday, describing how he was going to a church with his family in Covington – near Slidell – in about 1996 when Wattigny befriended him. Wattigny did so by giving him cards of baseball players that the boy admired and would provide him advice on what prayers to say to get to heaven.
Then came the day, the victim said, when Wattigny told him that he was in trouble and needed to follow “Father Pat” to the rectory. There, the victim said, Wattigny masturbated while he fondled the boy’s genitals and used his fingers to rape him.
The victim called it “the most terrifying day of my life”.
