Donald Trump Indicted For Attempting To Overthrow 2020 Election, Will Be Arrested Thursday
This is now the third indictment for Donald Trump, the disgraced, twice-impeached, and twice-arrested former president. He’ll be arrested for a third time when he appears in court on Thursday in Washington D.C., and here are the four charges just handed up by the grand jury (along with the maximum prison sentence for each count) for Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election that he lost to Joe Biden:
–Conspiracy to defraud the United States (up to 5 years)
–Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding (up to 20 years)
–Obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding (up to 20 years)
–Conspiracy against rights (up to 10 years)
Six unnamed co-conspirators are included in the indictment (though it doesn’t appear they’ve been charged yet), and it’s believed that two of them are “America’s Mayor” Rudy Giuliani and deranged bimbo Sidney Powell.
Initial legal commentary I’m hearing suggests that this case is the most severe and solid of all the Trump indictments, and because it’s being prosecuted in Washington D.C., he won’t have the corrupt Florida judge to protect him. Nor will he have the benefit of a Republican-friendly Florida jury. The D.C. judge overseeing the case will be Tanya S. Chutkan, an Obama appointee who’s already sentenced multiple MAGA terrorists to prison for their roles in the attack on the Capitol on January 6th.
Here’s the full indictment:
