Given that Trump is also overweight, as are the overwhelming majority of his fans, it’s not clear how a “joke” like this could be accepted. I guess because Chris Christie is considered morbidly obese by medical standards, people like Trump, who aren’t quite as overweight as Christie, are able to get away with these insults. Truly sociopathic behavior.

“Don’t call him a fat pig,” Trump playfully admonished an audience member who shouted out during a speech at a high school gym in Windham, New Hampshire. “You can’t do that.”
