Surprise! Biden Building Border Wall In South Texas

The Biden administration announced they waived 26 federal laws in South Texas to allow border wall construction on Wednesday, marking the administration’s first use of a sweeping executive power employed often during the Trump presidency.
The Department of Homeland Security posted the announcement on the U.S. Federal Registry with few details outlining the construction in Starr County, Texas, which is part of a busy Border Patrol sector seeing “high illegal entry.”
Although no maps were provided in the announcement, a previous map shared during the gathering of public comments shows the piecemeal construction will add up to an additional 20 miles to the existing border barrier system in the area. Starr County Judge Eloy Vera said it will start south of the Falcon Dam and go past Salineño, Texas.

Is the Biden administration really stupid enough to think that this will sway independent voters (and maybe some MAGAts) into voting for him? Not that it matters, given that Biden won’t be the Democratic nominee for president come next November.

The Trump border wall failed for all the predictable reasons. Immigrants used cheap ladders to climb over it, or they free climb it. They used cheap power tools to cut through it. They cut through small pieces and squeezed through, and they cut through big sections and drove through. In one small section in 2020, they sawed through at least 18 times that Border Patrol knew about in a month. They also made tunnels. Some tunnels were long, including the longest one ever discovered, but some were short enough just to get past the barrier.
So, just like the racist rapist and soon to be imprisoned Trump, you can also thank old sleepy Joe and the federal government for wasting more of your tax dollars yet again on more useless crap that will benefit absolutely no one. Meanwhile, Americans still don’t have free health care or affordable housing. Oh, or clean water.
