Rust Armorer Found Guilty Of Involuntary Manslaughter
The first bit of justice was delivered today in the killing of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was shot to death by Alec Baldwin during production of the upcoming movie Rust. The armorer who supplied the gun and the bullets to Baldwin was just found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after the jury deliberated for two and a half hours in New Mexico, and the reading of the verdict is below:
Hannah Gutierrez faces up to 18 months in prison, and it sounds like she’ll be sentenced within the next couple of months. She was immediately taken into custody, and her mother in the courtroom could be seen breaking down, which is very hard to watch. Alec Baldwin faces the same manslaughter charge and the same 18 months in prison if he’s convicted, and his trial begins in July.
