[UPDATED] R.I.P.: Porn Tube Site MyVidster Shuts Down After 18 Years

Damn, this one hurts. In terms of free porn tube sites, MyVidster was a relatively easy one to use that I don’t remember having too many crazy pop-up ads or spam. But, it’s all over now, as the owner of MyVidster just announced that he’s shut it down forever.

The owner, Marques Gunter, didn’t give specifics as to the reason for the closure, but he did claim that he nearly died(?!) due to owning MyVidster, and he’s been under “endless attacks” for at least the last year, as seen in his message below.

MyVidster was famously sued in 2010 for copyright infringement by absurdly litigious Phillip Bleicher of FlavaWorks (note: those links take you down some crazy rabbit holes), and Gunter/MyVidster was victorious in the suit, with a judge ruling that Gunter was not liable for users sharing and embedding copyrighted videos on MyVidster.

Two days later, and the owner has posted the below video saying MyVidster may be coming back for paying members. So, there are people who’ve paid money to join a tube site to watch pirated porn?
