Oscars Announce Final Slate Of Presenters
The Academy just announced the (supposedly) final slate of presenters for Sunday’s show, and they are: Rose Byrne, Nicole Kidman, Jimmy Kimmel, Delroy Lindo, Ewan McGregor, Wagner Moura, Pedro Pascal, Bill Pullman, Lewis Pullman, Channing Tatum, and Sigourney Weaver.
That’s a good list, including the two people I hope will upset in their acting categories: Byrne and Moura. There’s unfortunately no chance in hell that Byrne will win, but don’t count out Moura. Timothée Chalamet’s annoying campaigning and the uproar over his idiotically unnecessary comments about opera and ballet torpedoed his chances, and Michael B. Jordan surged too late…giving Moura the best chance to swoop in and win. Maybe it’s wishful thinking on my part, but we’ll see.
There will be a few additional surprise presenters and performers (including Barbra Streisand, allegedly), and here are the previously announced presenters: Will Arnett, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway, Paul Mescal, Gwyneth Paltrow, Javier Bardem, Chris Evans, Chase Infiniti, Demi Moore, Kumail Nanjiani, Maya Rudolph, Adrien Brody, Kieran Culkin, Mikey Madison, and Zoë Saldaña.
