Woman Who Murdered Husband 20 Years Ago Now Convicted Of Murdering Wife
A San Diego County woman who previously spent 10 years in prison for murdering her husband has now been convicted of murdering her wife in their Ramona home. Yolanda Olejniczak Marodi stabbed her wife Rebecca Marodi in a “fit of rage” last year, and Marodi pleaded guilty to second-degree murder this week after prosecutors reduced the charge from first-degree murder.
Footage from a video camera in the home showed Marodi chasing her wife with a knife, while the wife yelled, “Yolanda! Please! I don’t want to die!” Marodi could then be seen standing over her victim and telling her, “You should have thought of that before!” The lesbians had been married for just two years.
Back in 2000, Marodi stabbed her husband to death at a home in Southern California, and she later pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. Marodi served about 10 years for that murder, and she now faces life in prison for murdering her wife.
