BAFTAs And BBC Apologize After Man With Tourette's Syndrome Screams N-Word While Michael B. Jordan And Delroy Lindo Present Award
Just awful on so many levels, mainly for the position it put Delroy Lindo and Michael B. Jordan in. At the same time, you also have to feel bad for the guy with Tourette’s, whose racist outburst was not intentional (it feels insane to accept this, but it’s true). The BBC should be ashamed for not editing it out, and it says a lot about them that they did choose to edit out another award-winner saying “free Palestine” earlier in the broadcast, as the report above via GMA notes.
