Exclusive Q&A: Gay Porn Newcomer Cameron Parks On His Helix Debut, Getting Caught Jerking Off, And More!
His fans have been waiting all summer long, and tonight, Helix Studios is finally(!) releasing the much-anticipated debut of gay porn newcomer Cameron Parks. But before you watch, get to know this brand new performer in his first-ever interview below. Str8UpGayPorn has been stalking following Cameron on Twitter all summer, so be sure to follow him there, too.
Str8UpGayPorn: Hello, Cameron! Let’s start with some of the basics: Where are you originally from, where are you based now, are you single or are you dating, and in a few words, how would you describe your outlook on life?
Cameron Parks: Hey! Well, I’m originally from Key West, Florida. I love sailing, singing, and making every moment a party. I currently just made the transition all the way to sunny San Diego to work for Helix. Oh, and yep boys, I am single! But, I do get a pretty nice selection in my line of work.
I heard you’re roommates with another Helix performer, Cole Claire. Did you know each other prior to Helix? How did you two meet and arrange the move-in?
Yes! Cole Claire is my favorite nasty fucker. We met through the webcam world, and then conveniently got hired at Helix around the same time. From that point, we decided the best plan was to stay in San Diego, and here we are.
When did you decide you wanted to become a performer, and did you apply at other studios in addition to Helix?
I made the decision to apply at Helix and only Helix during my freshman year of college. I was going from one menial job to another without having much satisfaction. So, when the opportunity arose I decided to leave everything behind and go for it.
Had you ever performed on camera before?
It was my first time on a set and they made me feel completely comfortable. As soon as I arrived in California, I gained a second family at Helix, and I would never give that up.
Without naming names, any clues about models you’ve performed with so far?
Well, the first one was an eccentric city boy charmer. Then, he was followed by a tiny Texas boy. Most recently, I enjoyed some piercingly beautiful eyes as we played a game of ball.
Hmm…OK, I think I might have a guess as to who one of them is!
What kind of porn did you watch prior to becoming a performer yourself?
Before I became a performer, I was into the “clean-cut jock and twink” porn, but now that I know some tricks of the trade, I enjoy more amateur stuff, and even some kinky, BDSM kinda things.
Performers these days are everywhere on social media with tons of followers, and in fact I knew of you months ago, before you even filmed your first scene. What’s your favorite thing about social media and interacting with so many followers?
I grew up with a large social media presence, before I became a performer, so thankfully I’ve known how to hold myself in the age of the social. I’ve received an immense amount of love and support, and that has been something that constantly motivates me to continue making content.
And on the flip side, what’s the worst or most challenging part about social media?
Social media can be a career killer if you don’t know what you’re doing. Everyone is watching your every move, so keep it cool, clean, and classy.
Great point. So, what was it like shooting your debut solo scene? Were you nervous?
My debut solo was shot at a beautiful beach location. I originally started in the webcam industry, so I was comfortable touching myself on camera. Also, Alex Roman is an amazing director and cameraman, so there was absolutely no pressure.
How long did the shoot take, and did anything surprising happen during filming?
The filming process took about five hours, and a lot of that was traveling and setting up. Although, we did have to stop for a little when an unsuspecting citizen walked in on me as I was jerking off.
Whoops.
Yeah, that made things a little more exciting!
Who at Helix do you look forward to shooting with?
Josh Brady! He’s not only gorgeously muscular, but he’s also one of the best personalities in the Helix family.
God, yes, he’s great.
It feels like performing in gay porn has become less taboo than it was even five years ago, and it’s something that performers—especially younger gay performers—are open about with their friends and family. Has this been your experience?
My philosophy has been to be as open and as candid as possible. So, I’ve told everyone who I think should know. Some people are full of judgment, and some are not. At the end of the day, it’s their decision if they want to be part of my life journey. Although I don’t disclose it to everyone, I will be honest if I’m confronted. No reason to hide something that you love doing.
Finally, as a new model yourself who just came into the industry, what advice would you give to someone who’s thinking of becoming a gay porn star?
A lot of models come into the industry thinking that if they act the coolest, the hottest, and the baddest, then they will be on top—no pun intended. But, people will like you most if you just be yourself. Don’t be afraid to show your insecurities and desires. Show your passion, your humility, and your heart, and you’ll be good.
Very well said. Thank you, Cameron, and I can’t wait to see all your work in the months and years to come.
Cameron Parks stars in “Sun-Soaked Strokes,” from Helix Studios:
Note that Cameron Parks’ debut was filmed completely outdoors (something that’s not always easy to do), but he has no problem stroking a nice load out of his big dick. Given how good this solo performance is, I can’t wait to see him in a duo.
