Carl Dean, Husband Of Dolly Parton, Dead At 82

Heartbreaking news, and I just hate the fact that Dolly has to experience such pain and loss. The two were married for nearly 60 years, and Carl Dean wasn’t fond of public events. After attending a 1967 awards show, Dolly recalled Carl saying, “Look, I want you to do anything you want to do, but never ask me to go to another one of things again. And he never did.” She added, “He’s just special to me, and I just love him like he is.”
