Case Dismissed! All Domestic Violence Charges Against Roman Todd DROPPED
Good news for gay porn star Roman Todd in Las Vegas today, as the state of Nevada has just dropped all of the felony charges he had been facing after being arrested for beating his girlfriend in early January.
The domestic battery case appeared to be moving forward over the last two months after the prosecution added and upgraded charges against Roman Todd to include strangulation and use of a deadly weapon, and they even put in a “no contact” order to keep Todd away from his girlfriend. At another hearing just last month, the state placed Todd under electronic surveillance to ensure he’d be following the conditions of his bail, but that’s all a moot point now, as the docket below shows that the state dismissed the case and dropped all of the charges this afternoon (click to enlarge):
While no reason was provided as to why the state dismissed the case, it’s possible that Todd and his girlfriend have since reconciled, meaning she’d presumably be unwilling to testify or provide any assistance to the prosecution. The same source who informed me of Todd’s arrest also recently informed me that Todd and his girlfriend had been illegally defying the state’s “no contact” order and were secretly rendezvousing at a friend’s house, since Todd’s electronic monitoring prevented him from being back at the house he shared with his girlfriend. But again, it’s all a moot point now, and the couple can resume their relationship wherever and however they’d like.
Despite the arrest, hospitalization, and courtroom proceedings, Todd and his girlfriend (who’s also a porn star) still celebrated their GayVN Award wins back on January 24th, which was nearly two weeks after the alleged assault. While sources confirmed to me that the couple was banned from attending the award show due to the arrest, they were able to collect their trophies and later posed with them, as seen below.
