Chaos On Las Vegas Strip As Reports Of Active Shooter Cause Casino Stampedes
A friend of mine was in the Cosmopolitan on Saturday night when two separate active shooter stampedes caused casino gamblers and hotel guests to scramble for the exits, fearing for their lives. Apparently, things calmed down after everyone ran outside the first time, but after going back in, another stampede started after more people started screaming about an active shooter. The same thing was happening at casinos up and down the strip, from the Flamingo and the MGM to Caesars and the Bellagio. Surreal video from the strip and inside various casinos:

Mass hysteria in Vegas. So there was a false report of a shooting on the Las Vegas strip. Appears to have started with a broken glass door at the MGM. Spread like wild fire through a bunch of other hotels. I’m at the Cosmopolitan. People were running through the casino. Insanity.

Police have now said there was no shooting, but that someone threw rocks at a glass door, and the sound of shattering glass caused a panic. Just another typical night of terror due to gun violence (or in this case, the mere idea of gun violence) in America:
