I’ve seen the name Chappell Roan on social media over the last few months, but never bothered to click anything and find out who she was. Turns out, she’s fantastic, and I’m embarrassed to admit that my first exposure to her was watching her last night on the Jimmy Fallon show. Not only is this a perfect pop song (it’ll stay in your head forever), she also has a uniquely fantastic voice and is a great performer. Chappell Roan singing “Good Luck, Babe”:
There are only like three or four pop girls on the charts today who can actually sing (I’m thinking of Billie Eilish and Miley Cyrus, and maybe Ariana Grande), and Chappell Roan is obviously one of them.
