She had five massive hits that everyone knows from the mid 1980’s (“Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “True Colors,” “Time After Time,” “Goonies R Good Enough,” and of course the jerk off anthem “She Bop“), and I never understood why she didn’t have more, given her voice and talent. But, she’s stayed relevant and had huge success on Broadway, and she has a new documentary being promoted in the profile above, via CBS.
