Despite Massive 250,000-Gallon Raw Sewage Spill In Long Beach, Some People Are Still Swimming

When I lived there, I’d rarely step foot on the Long Beach beach even without a sewage spill, because the sight of all that stagnant water masquerading as an “ocean”—Long Beach barely has any waves due to the rock wall built by the military in the 1940’s that sections off the Long Beach shore from the Pacific—always made my stomach turn. It’s sad but not surprising that worthless local health officials have been unable to effectively warn residents of the toxic waste, but given that everyone’s immune systems are already destroyed thanks to endless and repeated COVID infections depleting all of their T cells, I’m sure swallowing a little raw sewage can’t hurt. Oh yeah, happy Earth Day.
