Detroit Teen Targets Senior Gay Man On Dating App, Stabs Him To Death In Hate Crime
First of all, I was shocked to learn that the age of consent in Michigan is 16, which would mean that the victim in this case wasn’t doing anything illegal by meeting a 17-year-old. At the same time, this is yet another reminder of how deadly and dangerous Grindr and dating apps are. Finally, is the news reporter at :20 wearing a hoodie? The hell?

I just viewed this report from a day later, where it’s revealed that the victim was actually a registered sex offender. His conviction was nearly 30 years ago and he may have been reformed, but maybe he should’ve thought twice about hooking up with a teen who was almost 50(!) years younger than him.
