Elon Musk To Advertisers: “Go Fuck Yourself”
He was forced into buying the site in the first place, so none of this should be surprising. A few years ago, he thought it might’ve been fun to control the way people communicate online, but as it turns out, it’s too much of a headache, and he’s over it. Twitter was never profitable before, and it’ll obviously never be profitable now. Via CNBC:
Speaking at the 2023 DealBook Summit in New York on Wednesday, Elon Musk, the owner of social media site X (formerly Twitter), scoffed at advertisers leaving the platform because of antisemitic posts he amplified there.
“If somebody’s gonna try to blackmail me with advertising? Blackmail me with money? Go f—yourself. Go. F—. Yourself. Is that clear?” Musk singled out Disney CEO Bob Iger in the audience, saying “Hi Bob!”
On an unrelated note, the work he’s had done on his face and hair is completely falling apart, and he’s starting to look like a younger blow-up doll version of Mitch McConnell. Video:
