Exclusive: Lane Rogers Was Stopped At Red Light Before Being Hit By Truck
The tragic death of Lane Rogers on Monday has left his family, friends, fans, and the adult industry in shock. Today, Str8UpGayPorn spoke with a witness who saw the entire incident that took Lane’s life in Oxnard, California, and while knowing how the accident happened doesn’t lessen the profound grief, these details eliminate any false rumors and speculation about the cause of the crash.
Str8Up was at the scene of the crash today with the witness (who asked not to be identified publicly), and they told us what they saw on Monday. According to this witness who saw the accident: Lane was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Hueneme Road and an on-ramp to Pacific Coast Highway. While stopped at this light, Lane noticed a box truck approaching directly behind him at a high rate of speed, and the truck didn’t appear to be stopping for the red light, or him. Instinctively, Lane veered into the lane to the left of him so he could get out of the way, but the truck, per the witness, must’ve simultaneously seen he was approaching a red light and someone on a motorcycle, so the truck driver veered into the left lane, too. It was then that the truck hit Lane and ran him over.
“Lane did everything right and what anyone would do,” the witness told Str8Up, adding, “And his reflexes were fast.”
Below is a Google Maps image of the intersection. The arrow added to the image is where Lane was stopped at the red light on Hueneme (which is pronounced “why-nee-mee,” and translates from Chumash to “resting place”). The lane to the left is where he veered while trying to avoid being hit.
An official accident report from the CHP is coming as soon as next week, which should corroborate the witness’s account. Initial accident reports were vague and used words like “collided” and “plowed into,” which implies that Lane Rogers crashed into the truck. Given what we know now from the witness, it was the truck that crashed into Lane, while he was stopped at a red light.
