Fashion House Christian Dior Sues Porn Star Gigi Dior Over Trademarked Name

Porn star Gigi Dior — known for adult movies about “hot MILFs” — trademarked her stage name last year.

Now fancy French fashion house Christian Dior Couture has filed a legal claim asking to overturn the trademark, saying she is damaging their business.

“This is ridiculous, my name has nothing to do with couture and — the funny part is — what I do usually involves wearing no clothes at all,” Gigi told Page Six in response to the lawsuit.

The 40-year-old adult entertainer applied last year to trademark Gigi Dior. On Sept. 20, 2022, it was approved.

She uses the name on her personal website, OnlyFans account, her webcam work and all social media accounts.

But Paris-based Christian Dior Couture sniffed in the filing, “All goods and services … are opposed, namely: Entertainment services … personal appearances by a porn star … providing a web site featuring non-downloadable adult-themed photographs and videos.”

“I trademarked my stage name for entertainment and modeling purposes, I had to show proof of what I was using the name for, so I used appearances at exotica, and a website for confirmation … My request was granted,” Gigi told us.

“A couple of weeks ago, on Oct. 18, I received notice from Christian Dior Couture that they were appealing my trademark approval and they claim that the name Dior is being diluted and that I am diluting their products.”

This lawsuit is, of course, absurd. If every porn star (or actor, musician, model, celebrity, etc.) were sued because their last name was the same as a brand or retail product, the courts would be so overrun with lawsuits and trials, they wouldn’t even be able to function. Just thinking of a few gay porn stars as examples: Trenton Ducati (like the motorcycle), Johnny Ford (like the automobile), Sean Ford (also like the automobile), Kyle Ross (like the discount department store), Joel Birkin (like the Hermès bag), Vincent O’Reilly (like the auto parts store), Kane Fox (like the right-wing cable news network), Colby Jansen (like the pharmaceutical company), Michael Del Ray (like the singer), Ashton Silvers (like the seafood fast food chain), Malik DelTaco (like the Mexican fast food chain), and countless others!
