Florida Pizza Delivery Girl Arrested For Stabbing Customer 14 Times Over $2 Tip
A standard tip is 15-20%, so for a $33 pizza delivery, it would’ve been reasonable for her to expect about $5. Instead, the customer gave her a $2 tip. So, this pizza delivery girl committed attempted murder and is now facing life in prison over $3. Via The Smoking Gun:
Angry that she only received a $2 tip on a $33.10 order of pizza and chicken wings, a delivery driver allegedly clocked out of work and returned later that night to stab the female customer 14 times, according to Florida investigators.
Cops say Brianna Alvelo, 22, was working Sunday evening at Marco’s Pizza, a Kissimmee business, when she was dispatched around 10 PM to the nearby Riviera Motel to deliver food ordered by Melinda Irizarry, 26. Irizarry, her boyfriend, Bobby Brooks, and the couple’s five-year-old daughter were celebrating Brooks’s birthday.
As alleged in an arrest affidavit, when Irizarry handed over $50 for the food, Alvelo “began walking away with the money and Melinda had to stop and ask her for change.” Irizarry told cops she “did not want to leave such a large tip.”
After rooting around for smaller bills, Irizarry and Brooks tipped Alvelo $2. “Melinda explained the female rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything.”
Alvelo and a man with a gun returned to the hotel later that night to rob and nearly murder the customer. TSG also reports that the woman who was stabbed 14 times was a few weeks pregnant. She’s recovering from her injuries, but no word on the fetus. More via WESH:
