Gavin Newsom And Panera Under Fire For Alleged Exemption To New CA Wage Law
People go after Gavin Newsom for stupid bullshit all the time, but this does seem a little more legitimate. What’s ironic of course is none of the worthless Republicans who are coming for him care about the minimum wage, and they’d probably prefer that it never be raised. There are discrepancies about who exactly is exempt from the new law based on the bread baking thing, so I’m not sure who’s side to take. And for what it’s worth, minimum wage in California should be $30 fucking dollars per hour, so people acting like $20 is a big deal are completely clueless about how much it costs to live here.
