If you’re a gay porn star and you happen to win an award for performing in gay porn, you will not get more work, you will not become hotter, and you will not gain more Twitter followers. Gay porn awards are meaningless, and the ceremonies themselves are nothing more than a big party. By all means, enjoy the party! Celebrate your accomplishments. Be grateful that people know who you are. But remember, you can do all of that without ever being nominated for an award.
