Here Are The 2015 XBIZ Awards Nominations

gay porn awards

You have to wonder why XBIZ even bothers including gay porn in their annual awards ceremony. Maybe it’s to appease the straight porn conglomerates (AEBN, MindGeek, etc.) that own some of the gay porn studios? Maybe it’s just professional courtesy? Maybe they don’t want to appear anti-gay? At any rate, here are the FOUR (yep, four!) gay categories in the 2015 XBIZ Awards, which are buried allllllllllllll the way down the page at the bottom of a list of literally 800 gazillion other categories.

These four gay categories were beneath far more important straight categories like “European Non-Feature Release Of The Year,” “Marketing Campaign Of The Year,” and “Best Music.” (On the bright side, it’s great to see nominees Evan Parker, Colby Keller, and Andrew Stark finally getting some love.) The ceremony is set for January 15th, which is two days after theĀ Cybersocket Awards.

Way to be progressive, LOL. Just not the right place.

If XBiz really wants to honor gay porn then they should make a gay version of the awards that focuses on gay porn this deeply. Or else just don’t bother. It’s a nice gesture what they have, but I find it odd to see the very few gay porn stars show up to the awards among all the female pornstars. Honestly it looks like they’re at a drag convention instead of a porn awards show.

Kris Evans is the BEST. He is unbelievable physically beautiful. His body is perfectly sculpted. He is a Magyar God. His performances are awesome. His huge cum shots are launched from one of the most beautiful rockets in gay porn.

  • Iain Gardener

As Zach puts it why bother! This feels like tokenism if Xbiz wants to acknowledge gay porn they should have a separate awards show.

  • Alan Keddie

    Too little, too late?

Do any of you commenters pay attention at all? The XBIZ Awards have been including gay porn categories for several years.

  • ArtPop93

Its kind of bullshit and insulting really. The gay porn business produces enough revenue to have more categories than just 4, I mean WTF.

Oops ….. Zach, I think you accidentally disabled the link to Lucas Entertainment, candidate for Gay Studio Of The Year. HA.

    In your (duck)face, Michael Lucas

Considering Lucas Entertainment WON Gay Studio of the Year in 2013 as well as Gay Movie of the Year in 2014, and 2012, that little omission doesn’t seem so bitter.

Welcome back, “Matty @ Lucas Entertainment”!

Apparently bareback studios don’t exist in the XBiz Awards world.

  • XBiz is the same when it comes to reporting news on the gay porn industry. Go to their website and click on the GBLT tab and often it has not been updated in weeks but click on the news tab and you get tons of straight porn updates. They should just not bother if they are going to be so half assed about it.
