Here’s Ryan Gosling As Ken From Upcoming Barbie Movie
Yes, I’d definitely hit it (he’s sort of giving older Billy Brandt vibes), but something isn’t quite right, and it doesn’t look like the Ken I grew up with. The hair is too white (my Ken was more of a sandy blond), the body is almost too thicc (not a bad thing, but Ken was so lean, he was almost twink-like), and most importantly, isn’t Ken supposed to be in his early 20’s, not a 40-year-old dad with bags under his eyes and wrinkles?
Barbie is an upcoming rom-com directed by Greta Gerwig, but her big breakthrough movie, Lady Bird, was dull and pointless (if you want a good coming-of-age movie about a quirky teen girl, watch the far superior and original Ghost World), so I have no expectations for this. Margot Robbie plays Barbie, and again, something isn’t quite right:
