“It Is A Lie!” DA Prosecuting Trump In Georgia Faces Lawyers Trying To Disqualify Her
I was able to catch some of this live earlier today, and it was the best courtroom drama in years, even better than Gwyneth’s ski collision trial. A few of the most fiery exchanges are in this clip:
What makes this even more fascinating is that none of it makes any fucking sense. Trump’s lawyers are trying to disqualify Fani Willis because she had a romance with her special prosecutor that somehow financially benefited her (it didn’t), and therefore this created a conflict of interest in their indictment of Trump? Again, it’s nonsense, but the ultimate goal, as with all of Trump’s criminal trials, is to delay delay delay until after the November election, at which point he thinks he’ll be elected and can have all of the cases thrown out.
