Verdicts are in on counts 2, 3, 4, and 5 (the sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution charges) in the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial, but the jury is hung on count 1, which is the RICO charge. The RICO charge is the most complicated and carries the sentence of life in prison. Counts 2 and 4 (the sex trafficking charges involving ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and an unnamed victim) each carry mandatory minimums of 15 years in prison. The judge may order the jury to continue deliberating on count 1, and he should be making a ruling any moment. This is a developing story…

Update 1: The judge has ordered the jury to continue deliberating on count 1, and they’ll be back tomorrow. The verdicts that have been reached were not read.

Update 2: The jury has returned and found Combs not guilty on the three most serious charges: Racketeering, and two counts of sex trafficking. He was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

In response to the verdict, people were seen cheering outside of the courthouse in NYC and pouring baby oil on each other, which is a good reminder of how sick, evil, cruel, and depraved most Americans are. This country elected a serial rapist and convicted felon with dementia to be its president, so nothing should surprise anyone anymore. Another reminder:

Combs will probably be released from the MDC (his bail hearing is in a few hours) while he awaits sentencing on the two prostitution charges. Each of those carry a maximum of 10 years in prison, but many expect him to not serve any time.

Update 3: Surprise! The judge has refused to release Diddy from jail, so he’ll remain at the infamous MDC until sentencing later this year. This certainly seems to indicate that the judge sees Diddy as a danger to society, and he’s planning on sending him to prison. While there’s no mandatory minimum for those prostitution charges he was convicted of, the maximum would be 20 years.
