Kansas Bans Trans From Driving Cars Unless License Has Sex Assigned At Birth
The Democratic governor had vetoed the bigoted bill, but the right-wing state legislature overrode her veto. It’s crazy Kansas has a liberal governor, yet this shit is still happening. News above via KMBC.
Note that there’s no grace period to get new licenses, so it’s illegal immediately for trans people to drive, unless their license has their sex assigned at birth. People who drive for work (any sort of delivery or transport job) will obviously be hurt the hardest. Copy of the letter that was sent out is below.
