L.A. Meteorologist Collapses During Live News Broadcast
CBS L.A. meteorologist Alissa Carlson Schwartz fainted during a live broadcast early Saturday morning, just before she was set to deliver the weather forecast. As seen in the clip below, Schwartz’s co-anchors appear shocked before immediately cutting to commercial:
While there was no update on Schwartz’s condition throughout the morning, she thankfully posted an update to Facebook Saturday afternoon, telling followers, “I am going to be OK!” (although, it’s not clear what exactly happened to her during the morning broadcast):
As TMZ noted this afternoon, Schwartz had a similar episode back in 2014 when she was reporting at a different local station in Bakersfield, California:
Carlson had previously experienced a similar episode years ago — throwing up on set during a weather report when she was at a different station — and as a result … she was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve.
