Laura Dern Posts Tribute And Moving Letter To David Lynch On His Birthday: “You Wove L.A. Into Our Dreams”
Since David Lynch died last week, I’ve been waiting to see what Laura Dern might say in remembrance of him, and her brief but touching and heartfelt tribute is above (via Instagram). “Happy birthday, tidbit,” Dern wrote on Monday, which would’ve been Lynch’s 79th birthday. She continued, “I will love and miss you every day for the rest of my life.”

“Tidbit” was Lynch’s nickname for Dern, and the two became longtime friends after first working together on Lynch’s 1986 masterpiece Blue Velvet. Dern’s iconic monologue from the film is below:
