21-year-old Mickey Taylor might not be a household name yet here in the U.S., but he’s already a big star (quite literally) across the pond, having filmed gay porn scenes with UKNakedMen, Staxus, Blake Mason, and most recently Men.com. And while the six-foot-tall, (sometimes) bleached blond, tattooed model might look like a bad boy, he’s anything but. Today, the sweet, sexy, and stylish Mickey Taylor takes ten questions in his Str8UpGayPorn exclusive interview.

Str8UpGayPorn: What initially attracted you to working in adult films, and can you tell me a little bit about what it was like shooting that first scene?
Mickey Taylor: I actually got picked up on one of those evil gay social media dating apps! They approached me, but I was kinda weirded out at first, and I thought I was gonna get, like, chloroform in the face and be missing a kidney. But, I really enjoyed my audition. My first studio was Staxus, where I was exclusive for a while, but I quit in June because I wanted to branch out and work with other studios and models. My first scene was with Billy Reubens, who is amazingly and completely stunning!

And I know you do more than porn. What has your experience been like working as both an adult and non-adult model, and a club host?
I’ve been a model and performer for 11 years, and I love it. To be honest, they’ve all slowly ended up blending. And when you host clubs, you need to have a certain amount of “performance” with it. So, it kinda all blends nicely. I love my adult work, and it’s nice that it hasn’t affected my acting or modeling; I could never give any of it up.

It seems like people in the U.K. have a much more open and accepting attitude toward gay porn—and sexuality in general—than we do here in the U.S. Do you think that’s true?
I think it’s true. We’re not shy of sitting around a dinner table and openly chatting about anything with anyone. I think it’s healthy, because you shouldn’t hide anything. You should always feel comfortable to talk about whatever you like. It’s great, and it definitely helps with self-confidence, too.

I’m sure everyone asks about your tattoos all the time, so I’ll only ask you this: Do you have a favorite tattoo, and which one is it?
Oh, God! Umm…my favorite? It would have to be my skull hand tattoo. It’s made completely from dots. It was two hours work and two hours of agony, but it was awesome.

Do you have any interest in working for U.S.-based studios and performers, and which gay porn stars in the states do you think are doing the best work right now?
I do want to start working in the states. I’ve just started up with Ducati Models agency, so fingers crossed. And, I just worked with Men.com and Phoenix. As far as models…hmm…yeah, one or two, ha! Asher Hawk, Ashton Webber, and Colby Keller are just killer! Stunning!

Do you have a boyfriend now, and what do you look for in a partner? What do you think people find most appealing about you?
I’m not at a point where I want to publicly say if I’m in a relationship or not, because I think if you talk too much about it people get highly involved with what’s happening.

So, I’ll take that as a yes?
Ha…I’m sure a lot of people are picking up on things from my social media. As far as what people find appealing about me? Oh, fuck, I guess my humor! I have a very unique sense of humor—you either love it or hate it. Looks wise, I don’t know. I have a cute butt! And people talk about my eyes a lot, so maybe them too? I don’t know!

When you are not making movies, what do you do in your spare time?
I’ve just started hitting the gym to help change up my image, which is great. And I’m always in my sketch book or writing music.

What’s something that no one knows about you that might come as a surprise?
I’m a ninja? Ha ha, I don’t know. I’m pretty open and do Q&A’s on my YouTube all the time, so people know a hell of a lot.

Which has been your favorite scene to film so far?
My favorite scene is still the one I shot for Men.com with Paul Walker—it’s yet to be released—purely because working with friends makes it much easier, plus it was a different style of filming than what I was used to, and I loved it.

What are your plans for the rest of this year and going into 2015?
I’m hosting a lot of clubs at the moment in the U.K., and hopefully one in Berlin. I’m off to New York in November, and Australia in December! I love to travel and work at the same time, so it’s all great fun. I’m also filming a movie this month that’s coming out next year, so I can’t wait!

Me neither! Thank you, Mickey!
