Noah Wyle Wins First Emmy After 5 Noms And 30 Years
I’ve loved him for so long (his first nomination was for Supporting Actor on ER back in 1995), and after 30 years and five previous nominations, Noah Wyle won Best Lead Actor tonight for his work on The Pitt, which also earned him a second win tonight as producer of the show, which won Best Drama. His acting win:
The Pitt had a lot of dialogue that was kind of cringe in some episodes, but it was overall compelling and was mostly good. Side note: I didn’t realize until tonight that the excellent Best Supporting Actress winner Katherine LaNasa (seated behind Wyle in the video above) was married to dreamy Jake Hanson! Severance might’ve been too weird and confusing for voters, but they at least gave trophies to a couple of people in the cast.
