Now Sean Cody, Men, And Pornhub Will Be Blocked In Florida Beginning Jan. 1
As if living in Florida wasn’t tragic enough to begin with, now residents of the “sunshine state” can’t even look at porn. Aylo-owned sites including Pornhub, Sean Cody, and Men are already blocked and unable to be viewed by people in Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, and beginning January 1st, 2025, people in Florida won’t be able to view the sites either. This is because of Florida’s upcoming Christofascist anti-porn law requiring users to input their driver’s license or other ID via an “age verification system” on porn sites. Via Palm Beach Post:
If you’re a PornHub fan in Florida, the countdown has begun. As of Jan. 1, 2025, any websites offering adult content visible in the Sunshine State must use an age verification system or face hefty fines. On the same day, adult megasite PornHub will slam the door shut on the whole state. Pornhub, one of the largest and most-visited adult websites, has made a habit of blocking states that have passed new adult-site ID requirements.
Pornhub/Aylo rightly doesn’t want to be responsible for keeping records of everyone’s driver’s licenses, and they’re encouraging users to learn more about device-based age verification, as seen in their message below. This is the message on Pornhub that’s appearing for people in Florida right now:
If you are in Florida (or any of the other states ruled by the religious right), here’s a summary of the VPNs you can use to bypass the blocks.
