Scammer Impersonating The Bold And The Beautiful’s Ridge Forrester Tricks Woman Into Trying To Murder Husband With Poisoned Soup
To be clear, I don’t think the woman actually thought she was talking to Ridge Forrester. She hopefully believed she was texting with the actor who plays him, Thorsten Kaye, and not the character. In reality, the person on the other end of the phone—who had already received several thousand dollars from the woman—was probably just another teen in Nigeria. Here’s truly the best story of the year (so far), via CBS Boston:
The way she’s crying, it’s almost as if she believes she’s in a soap opera right now? Love it. Also, the grandmother has been charged with attempted murder, intimidation of a witness, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer, but she was released on personal recognizance! Hopefully she’ll try to do something else (maybe she’ll try to kill her conniving daughter for not minding her own damn business!) and make this story even juicier.

“Roxanne had been messaging someone she believed to be a daytime drama actor, Thorsten Kaye,” Officer Marchand wrote in his report. “This person scammed her into giving them money.”
The daughter “was going through all the messages in Roxanne’s phone with the scammer, to send screenshots to” police, Marchand wrote. The daughter showed police screenshots from text messages that were sent on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, court documents show.
“One of the messages from “Thorsten” stated ‘You have to get rid of your husband honey. I need you so much,’” police wrote in their report. “Roxanne stated that she needed to do some thinking.”
