Oops: Philly Mayor Posts Video Announcing Governor Josh Shapiro As VP

The above tweet and video was posted three hours ago and still hasn’t been deleted, so either the Philadelphia mayor is being extremely presumptuous, or she just accidentally leaked the news that Kamala Harris’ pick to be her Vice President is Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro. Some theories on what the hell is going on, via DailyMail:
Journalist Ernest Owens then claimed he had heard from sources that the post was due to be scheduled for Monday, but was accidentally published early. Sources however told the Philadelphia Inquirer that the post was simply an endorsement and a show of support for Shapiro. “This is not an announcement of anything. This is just the mayor showing her support for a longtime friend who we know is one of the people being considered.”
Of course, if the mayor deletes the tweet now, that’ll make things look even more suspicious. Note that the mayor’s account has blocked everyone from replying to the tweet.
As far as Shapiro goes, he was the winner of Str8Up’s reader poll asking who will be Kamala’s VP, so most of you are quite smart. Congratulations! I know a lot of Gen Z and hardcore leftists aren’t happy with Shapiro due to his support of Israeli genocidal zionists, but there has been some push back against those complaints, most notably from progressive media figure Cenk Uygar, who published a convincing op-ed today titled “Don’t Fall for the Misinformation Campaign: Josh Shapiro Is the Progressive Choice for VP.” I haven’t had time to look too closely at Shapiro, but the VP pick is kind of a moot point, given the United States will always support Israel, no matter who’s in the oval office. I and any sane person will obviously still vote for Kamala Harris, given the horrifying alternative.
