[UPDATED] Passenger Sucker-Punches Flight Attendant After Not Being Allowed To Use First Class Bathroom

Just another typical day in the friendly skies, with yet another deranged American violently acting out in public. Surprisingly, this guy wasn’t naked, and also surprisingly, it wasn’t on Spirit or Southwest Airlines. Via SacBee:

An unruly passenger on a California-bound American Airlines flight punched an attendant in the head from behind, video shows. Other passengers helped detain the man, who was arrested on landing at Los Angeles International Airport, KABC reported. The incident took place Wednesday, Sept. 21, on American Airlines Flight 377 from San José del Cabo, Mexico, the airline said in a statement.

“Once he started screaming at him, the flight attendant just turned around and I think he was going to go and do something,” Barrie Livingstone, who took the video, told KTLA. “But as he turned around and walked away, the guy jumped out of his seat, bolted down the (aisle), and punched him in the back. It was totally unprovoked.”

Please note that this is pretty tough to watch, especially considering the flight attendant had no idea the beating was coming:

Shot of the lunatic’s face after attacking the flight attendant:

The man appears to be Asian or Hispanic (the look on his face is insane), but authorities aren’t releasing his name. He was restrained with zip-ties and arrested upon landing, and he was charged with a federal offense of interfering with a flight crew (why not assault, too?).

UPDATE:

The man’s name has been released, and it’s Alexander Tung Cuu Le. He’s only 33 (he looks a lot older in the screenshot from the video), and he’s from a trashy town called Westminster in right-wing Orange County (of course), California. Via KTLA:

An Orange County man is facing criminal charges for allegedly punching a flight attendant in the back of the head on a flight from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday.

The suspect, 33-year-old Alexander Tung Cuu Le from Westminster, is facing a felony charge of interference with flight crew members and attendants. He could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.
