Rentboy’s Eli Lewis Had To Get A Court Order To Visit His Boyfriend In Ohio

As puritanical and anti-gay as last week’s Rentboy raid and arrests were, at least one government official involved in the case has a heart—and he clearly has no problem with same-sex love.

As you know, performer Eli Lewis was arrested (unjustly, in my view) last week for his former role as a social media coordinator at the now Homeland Security-seized escort site Rentboy.com. Several hours after his arrest, Eli Lewis was released on $50,000 bond, but there were some pretty strict conditions that came with that release.

In addition to drug and alcohol testing, Eli Lewis is not allowed to leave New York City or Long Island without the Court’s permission:

Given his job as a porn star, this makes it nearly impossible for Eli Lewis to work (the overwhelming majority of gay adult shoots are outside of New York), but what if he wanted to travel for personal reasons?

This past weekend, Eli Lewis had previously arranged plans to visit his boyfriend Bryan Cole in Ohio, and Eli’s lawyer had to ask the judge to approve the travel:

Luckily for Eli and Bryan, Judge Pohorelsky approved the request:

As of now, no pre-trial or hearing dates have been scheduled in the Rentboy case, or for Eli Lewis specifically.
