A Cranston, Rhode Island, councilman has stepped down after police released a shocking body cam video from a drug arrest.
The video shows the moment an officer approaches a barely conscious Matt Reilly in his car with what police say appears to be a crack pipe. “I have sleep apnea,” Reilly said. “I’m sorry.”
“And you have a crack pipe in your hand,” the officer said.
Police said the substance found in Reilly’s car tested positive for crack-cocaine and fentanyl.
