Update:

Ricky Martin is denying the allegations that were part of the restraining order filed against him yesterday in Puerto Rico. Reps for Martin issued the below statement to People:

“The allegations against Ricky Martin that led to a protection order are completely false and fabricated,” representatives for Martin told PEOPLE. “We are very confident that when the true facts come out in this matter our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated.”

First that $3,000,000 lawsuit I posted about a few days ago, and now a restraining order? It’s not a good week for Ricky Martin. Someone who was apparently in a relationship with Martin in Puerto Rico has filed a restraining order against him, and the order was filed under Puerto Rico’s domestic violence law. Martin has allegedly been loitering around the victim’s home since the break-up, and Martin has reportedly been unable to accept the split. Via AP:

A judge has issued a restraining order against Puerto Rican superstar Ricky Martin, police said Saturday.

The order was signed Friday, and authorities visited an upscale neighborhood in the north coastal town of Dorado where the singer lives to try to serve the order, police spokesman Axel Valencia told The Associated Press.

Valencia said he could not provide further details because the order was filed under Puerto Rico’s domestic violence law.

El Vocero, a Puerto Rico newspaper, said the order states that Martin and the other party dated for seven months. The report quotes the order as saying they broke up two months ago, but the petitioner says Martin did not accept the separation and has been seen loitering near the petitioner’s house at least three times.

“The petitioner fears for his safety,” El Vocero quoted the order as saying.

To make things even more insane, a report from a Puerto Rican news outlet claims that the person with whom Martin was in a relationship was…his nephew. Martin and his 20-year-old nephew were said to have been in a consensual relationship, and TuNoticiaPR appears to have obtained a copy of the restraining order containing this information:

Although the details of the complaint are not clear, nor has information been provided about the alleged case of domestic violence, the TuNoticiaPr media outlet says that the complainant is allegedly a nephew of the singer, who would have been 20 years old, and who had a consensual relationship with the artist for 7 months.

As of post time, no U.S. outlets have confirmed or reported this information about the nephew.
