Rhyheim Shabazz, Videographer EyeFilmz, And Multiple Brazilian Gay Porn Stars Inexplicably Suspended From Twitter
[Rhyheim Shabazz and Italo Andrade at TimTales]
Almost two years ago, performer Rhyheim Shabazz’s Twitter account was suspended when an anonymous user filed false copyright claims against him for videos that Rhyheim posted on his own account. It took several days, but Rhyheim had his account reinstated after notifying Twitter that the false DMCAs were in fact fake. Today, there’s been another apparently malicious attempt to have Rhyheim’s Twitter removed, and Twitter’s reasoning is even more confusing this time. Rhyheim’s account has been suspended since early this morning:
In addition to Rhyheim’s account, at least three other users close to Rhyheim had their accounts suspended this morning, too. Videographer EyeFilmz (who films all of Rhyheim’s movies, and is arguably the hardest working cameraman in gay porn) is gone:
Model and Str8Up obsession Italo Andrade is also gone:
And performer Farley_XX has been suspended, too:
Why were all the accounts suspended? According to Twitter (who sent this same email to all four users), it’s because Rhyheim, Italo, Farley, and EyeFilmz violated the company’s rules against “ban evasion”:
As if the suspension weren’t frustrating enough, Twitter’s nonsensical explanation makes it even worse, given that neither EyeFilmz, Rhyheim, Farley, or Italo have ever been permanently suspended or attempted to evade any ban or enforcement action. (To be clear: An example of someone violating the ban evasion rule would be like if Donald Trump—who was permanently banned back in January after inciting the deadly Capitol insurrection—attempted to rejoin Twitter using a fake name.) What’s more, this appears to be a bizarre coordinated attack, given the closeness of Rhyheim, EyeFilmz, Italo, and Farley (for those who don’t know, Farley is a Brazilian model who has worked with Rhyheim in the past).
Rhyheim and the others have all filed appeals on the suspensions, explaining to Twitter that none of them have attempted to evade a ban or circumvent any of Twitter’s enforcement actions. For now, all they can do is wait for Twitter to reply and explain how they made such a weird mistake in wrongly suspending the accounts.
For his part, Rhyheim isn’t letting the suspension get to him. (He no doubt has plenty of work on his OnlyFans to keep him busy.) The performer—who recently surpassed one million followers on Twitter, making him the most followed gay porn star in history—tells Str8Up, “Oddly, I’m not bothered by it. Probably due to the fact that it’s happened before. I’m just kinda in problem solving mode now, but enjoying the Twitter break.”
This is a developing story…
