Richard Simmons Dead At 76

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … police and fire responded to a call from his housekeeper just before 10 AM Saturday and pronounced him dead at the scene. We’re told no foul play is suspected at this time, and cops are looking into it as a natural death.

Richard Simmons had been fairly active on Twitter recently and seemed to be doing well. In fact, his most recent tweet was posted just two hours before he was reportedly found dead, as seen here:

Richard Simmons was such a fixture and part of popular culture in the 1980’s and 1990’s, so it was sad when he became so reclusive over the last decade. The ET report below points that out and looks back at his career. RIP.
