San Francisco Archbishop Files Bankruptcy In Order To Settle Over 500 Child Sex Abuse Lawsuits
The most evil and perverse global crime syndicate in history (a.k.a. the Catholic church) continues to find new ways to skirt the law and avoid suffering any real consequences for destroying millions of lives around the world. This time, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of San Francisco is filing for bankruptcy in order to settle over 500 child sex abuse claims. Via KTVU:
San Francisco’s Roman Catholic archdiocese filed for bankruptcy protection on Monday, saying it’s necessary because it faces more than 500 lawsuits alleging child sexual abuse by church officials.
There was a surge in cases because California temporarily lifted the statute of limitations, allowing victims to bring cases that may be decades old.
“The unfortunate reality is that the Archdiocese has neither the financial means nor the practical ability to litigate all of these abuse claims individually, and therefore, after much consideration, concluded that the bankruptcy process was the best solution for providing fair and equitable compensation to the innocent survivors who have been harmed,” said Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone in a statement.

With their finances protected and their cult intact, the priests, bishops, and other various rapists will of course be able to continue abusing children for as long as they want. KTVU notes in their report that in addition to the SF archdiocese, neighboring dioceses in both Oakland and Santa Rose also filed for bankruptcy recently, citing the number of child sex abuse lawsuits they faced. Imagine if rapists who weren’t part of a church were able to get away with raping thousands of children just by filing for bankruptcy!
