San Francisco Art Gallery Owner Hoses Homeless Woman Down For Being On Street

An otherwise “normal” person being completely devoid of all humanity as seen in the video below is one of the most depressing things I’ve seen in a long time. City officials in San Francisco—who’ve let their once beautiful city devolve into a third world country—are truly awful and worthless, but the man with the hose is worse. You can be angry, frustrated, and pushed to the brink, but the callousness and casualness with which he’s abusing the woman in broad daylight shows that this is a soulless, sick, and deeply evil person:

News coverage of the viral video, in which the man says he “snapped” while offering a weak, meaningless apology:

Regardless of his “woe is me” story, this man is obviously wealthy (one of the items for sale in his gallery is a wooden cabinet for $55,000), so he’ll be fine. Instead of harming a mentally ill homeless woman, his only real option at this point is to close up his shop and move on with his life somewhere else. Even if that woman leaves and is never seen again, there are 5,000 more who can take her place tomorrow. San Francisco is no longer safe or inhabitable for the man or his business (or any business), sadly, and city leaders have failed him, as they’ve failed everyone else.
